Fruit Raita | Fruit Yogurt Dessert (Yogurt with fresh fruits )

“Fruit Raita” is yet another raita recipe to beat the summer heat. Fruits provide the refreshing taste to this raita recipe and yogurt provides the coolness. Just put in your choice of fruits in this raita and enjoy!!



Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 5-8 mins.
Cooking time: zero mins.


Ingredients:


1 cup fresh curd/ yogurt
¼ cup ripe mango (peeled and diced)
1 small banana (peeled and sliced)
¼ cup musk melon (peeled and diced)
¼ cup green grapes (washed)
½ teaspoon roasted cumin
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt as required
1 tablespoon dried mint leaves (optional but recommended)


Directions:


  1. Whisk the curd to get it smooth and lump free.
  2. Wash and peel the fruits.
  3. Mix in sugar, salt, dried and crushed mint leaves and cumin into the raita.
  4. Add in diced fruits. Garnish with dried mint leaves.
  5. Serve cold along with meals or just have as is for healthy and tasty dessert treat.

Tips:
  • You can add 2 tablespoons of fresh cream to the raita if you like a creamy texture but skip if you want it healthier.
  • Keep refrigerated until use so that raita does not turn sour.
  • Replace regular salt with rock salt/sendha namak if preparing for fast.
