Serves: 1
Preparation time: 10-12 mins. To boil pasta
Cooking time: 10 mins.

Ingredients:

1 cups penne pasta (boiled)
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
3 tablespoon Homemade pasta sauce
5 black olives (optional)
2-3 fresh basil leaves
Black pepper as required
Salt as required

Directions:

  1. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan, add chopped garlic. Fry for 30 seconds. Don't let the garlic turn brown.
  2. Now, add in pasta sauce and 2 tablespoons of water. Let it boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add in cooked pasta and salt as per taste. Sauce already has some salt so be careful not to put more.
  4. Add in sliced black olives and give a quick stir.
  5. Tear basil leaves into pieces and add in pasta.
  6. Season with freshly ground black pepper. Switch off the flame.
  7. Transfer to serving dish and garnish with grated parmesan cheese and serve warm.

Tips:

  • You can add in vegetables of your choice in the pasta if cooking for kids, as they would eat pasta and you would successfully sneak in some veggies into their tummy.  :)
